The Door to Freedom, March 23, 2008
Ephesians 1:18-20 (New Living Translation) I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the wonderful future he has promised to those he called. I want you to realize what a rich and glorious inheritance he has given to his people. "I pray that you will begin to understand the incredible greatness of his power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power" that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God's right hand in the heavenly realms."The very same power that raised Jesus from the dead is available for the day-to-day challenges that you and I face. That may seem like a pipe dream but Bigger things have happened on this day."
When you read the verses and the statement above, what thoughts went through your mind?
Do you believe that the power of the Holy Spirit, who resides in you if you are a follower of Jesus, has limitations?
Read and respond to Ephesians 5:15-18; 1 Thes. 5:19
What would "being under the influence of the Spirit of God" and "quenching the Spirit of God" look like for you?
What does 'pray that you will begin to understand the incredible greatness of his power for us who believe him…" mean for you in the day-to-day challenges you face?
Which door captivated your interests: The New Identity Door, The Radical Love Door, The Inner Liberation Door, or The True Faith Door?
If you knew that you would experience the very same power that raised Jesus from the dead by walking through one of those doors on stage, which one would you walk through?
What would keep you from walking through one of those doors and why?
What one "take away" do you believe Christ had for you today in our Easter Celebration?
