How would you define the difference between belief and commitment?

Where have you experienced the difference between belief and commitment in your personal life?

Read Matthew 13:44-46
What are the key elements that you noted?

Jesus is saying that the key to experiencing an intimate relationship with God does not stop at the belief level but really begins to flourish when you go all in (with all that you hold dear).
Would your relationship with Christ reflect more of a lack of belief, level of belief, or a level of commitment?

What do the "chips" in your life represent (what are the driving forces that everything else in your life revolves around)?

What do you think Paul means when he says that you are to offer those "chips" to God as a reasonable response to the resurrection of Christ (Romans 12:1)?

Which "chip" will be the most difficult for you to offer to Christ?

At New Cov., we believe that life change happens best in small groups. Is there a follower of Jesus whom you highly respect, that you would benefit from spending some time with talking through what it would mean for you to hold nothing back (go all in) from Christ?

I (Pastor Tim) would like to challenge you to make a call to that person and ask if you could spend some time with them talking about what it means to be a committed follower of Jesus.
