Embracing Eternity, April 27, 2008

Colossian 3:1-4

How often do you think about life after death?

What kinds of emotions are stirred when you think about your life after death?

Do you worry about where you will spend eternity?

What do you think living with eternity in mind looks like?

Do you think you are presently living with eternity in mind?

What steps (adjustments) would be necessary for you to move in that direction?

Read the following Bible verses and write a one sentence lesson learned from each:

2 Corinthians 4:17-5:1
Luke 9:25
Hebrews 9:27

Respond to the following, "Wise people build their lives around what is eternal and Velcro on the stuff that is temporary. When we embrace the reality of the world to come, it radically impacts how we view this world." "We must be careful that we spend as much time preparing for eternity as we do retirement."
