1. Describe a time when you experienced or observed mourning or intense grief? Did you also observe or experience comfort in that situation?



2. John 11:35 and Luke 19:41 are both Biblical accounts of Jesus weeping. Study the context of both of these verses and identify what these two verses have in common and how they are different?



3. John 11: 33 and John 11:38 both describe Jesus as being "deeply moved." In your opinion, what is this referring to? Have you ever been "deeply moved?" If yes, what "moved" you?



4. In Matthew 26:75 we find Peter, the disciple of Jesus, "weeping bitterly." What caused this weeping? How does his "mourning" lead to "comfort?"
