Ministry Listing

God has creatively shaped you to fulfill His unique purpose. You may live out that purpose through one of the many ministries at New Covenant. This listing contains just some of the ministries and volunteer opportunities available. If you would like to learn more about a particular ministry, you may request more information on these ministries online or contact the church office at 484-5033.
  • Baptism
    Assist people who are being baptized. Meet with people to talk about baptism. Take video or photos of baptism.
  • Benevolence/Personal Finance
    Assist people with practical needs. Train or counsel people in money management.
  • Builders for Christ
    Be part of a crew that travels one week each summer to help build a church.
  • Building/Landscaping
    Assist with building maintenance, groundskeeping and landscaping. Join a team that works monthly on a Saturday.
  • Celebrate Recovery
    Help individuals struggling to recover from various addictions, compulsions and dysfunctional behaviors.
  • Children's Camp
    Administrative work and planning for summer camp. Be a camp sponsor or help with transportation.
  • Coffee Bar
    Organize and help with the Sunday morning coffee bar ministry. Buy supplies, schedule workers, make and serve refreshments.
  • College Ministry
    Organize and help with classes and events for college students.
  • Communion
    Help prepare and serve communion.
  • Community Corrections Ministry
    Take inmates shopping or bring them to church for worship or on workdays.
  • Connections Ministry
    Organize, teach, help with hospitality or assist administratively with Sunday morning adult classes.
  • Counseling
    Meet with people in need of short-term counseling. Assist with pre-marriage and grief counseling.
  • C.R.E.W.
    Midweek creative arts and spiritual growth program for children. Opportunities in organization, music, recreation, drama, creative arts, set and stage design and working with kids in small groups.
  • DiscoveryLand
    Sunday morning children's ministry. Opportunities to teach, to help prepare lesson materials, to be a part of the music, puppet and drama ministries, and to help administratively during the week.
  • Drama
    Act, write, lead, direct, build and design sets, create costumes and gather props.
  • Enfold
    Phone or write guests. Help administratively wtih follow up of guests and new members. New Covenant Class contact.
  • Global Missions
    Pray for global ministries, care for missionaries, lead or go on international trips, help with annual missions banquet, serve on missions team.
  • Graphics/Communications
    Work with writing, editing, proofreading, PowerPoint, graphic design, publications, video and photography.
  • Holiday Ministries
    Provide Christmas gifts for local and international children in need. Help organize and lead Operation Christmas Child or Gifts of Love efforts.
  • Hospitality
    Welcome and assist people on Sunday mornings. Direct traffic, greet, usher and collect the offering.
  • Media/CD Ministry
    Make and distribute CDs of Sunday messages.
  • Men's Ministry - Outfitters
    Assist with men's groups and men's events.
  • Mothers Of Preschoolers (MOPS)
    Ministry for moms of preschoolers. Help with planning and programs.
  • Music
    Be part of the band or instrumental ensembles. Sing or help administratively.
  • New Cov Library
    The New Cov library is located in room Room 106 on the lower level and is open each Sunday morning from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Assist in cataloging books in the computer, stamping, and shelving books, CD's, DVD's, VHS and cassettes.
  • Nursery Ministry
    Care for infants and toddlers on Sunday mornings or during classes or events. Help with child security, administration, care and clearning of nursery toys and supplies.
  • Office Volunteers
    Help with administrative and office functions.
  • Outreach Ministry
    Organize and help lead events classes for spiritual seekers.
  • Prayer
    Pray with others on Sunday mornings or Thursday evenings. Be part of teams that pray regularly for missions, student ministry, children's ministry, the community and other issues.
  • Royal Family Kids' Camp
    Help with summer camp for local abused and neglected kids. Be a counselor or work with arts and crafts, fundraising or special events.
  • Small Groups
    Find a group, lead a group or help with group's ministry. Help people connect with a group, coach leaders, provide administrative support.
  • SOLO
    A group for single mothers parenting due to divorce, death, separation or never married.
  • Soup Kitchen
    Prepare food and help serve meals at Matt Talbot Soup Kitchen.
  • Sports Ministry
    Organize or coach adult or student sport teams.
  • Stage/Building Decor
    Create ambiance in the building and on stage to coordinate with the seasons and programming elements.
  • Student Ministry
    Work with students from 6th through 12th grades. Lead a small group, help administratively, lead music or drama teams, plan special events, work with audio/visual equipment, teach, help with logistics, or go to camp and on trips.
  • Technical Ministries
    Work with sound, lighting and multimedia for Sunday services and special events.
  • Twenty Somethings
    Help lead and develop this ministry.
  • Vacation Bible School
    One-week children's program during the summer. Help with planning, music, food, crafts, decor, recreation and administration.
  • We Love Lincoln Outreach
    Help plan, lead, organize or take part in local servant outreach projects.
  • Web-based Ministry
    Help maintain web site and develop web-based ministry.
  • Weddings
    Assist couples planning a wedding at New Covenant.
  • Women's Ministry - Tapestry
    Lead a women's discussion group, help with hospitality, child care, music or administration.
