We Love Lincoln Outreach
God's Word is clear and simple--we are to love Him and to love people. We Love Lincoln is our way of keeping other people continually on our hearts. We believe the church should make a positive impact on its neighborhood, its community and the world. Through We Love Lincoln projects, we push ourselves to go outside the walls of the church to serve and influence our city with the love of Christ.
We Love Lincoln projects have included working with other churches on a Habitat for Humanity home, taking church downtown during Ribfest, serving at Wyuka Cemetery and SouthPointe Mall during the Christmas season and providing grocery gift certificates for State Title employees.
Some of our We Love Lincoln events have become an annual occurrence that our congregation and members of the Lincoln community look forward to every year. The links below contain more information on these annual events.
Christmas on 84th Street
December 6-9, 2007
New Covenant Community Church has partnered with Faith Bible Church and First Evangelical Free Church to offer a Christmas celebration like none before!
New Covenant will host "Imagine Christmas", a contemporary program featuring music, dance and drama at 6:45 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. Thursday and Saturday evenings. A choir performance of Handel's "Messiah" will be featured at 6:45 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. on Friday evening and at 3:45 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. In addition to these productions, New Covenant will offer visitors caroling and refreshments of cookies, cocoa and coffee in the hospitality area.
Gift's with a Mission returns once again, as well, offering community members the chance to purchase and wrap gifts for Lincoln-area residents who are in need.
First Evangelical Free Church will host "Once Upon a Village", where guests can roam the streets of ancient Bethlehem. A new venue has also been added to the First Evangelical Free campus that allows children to help children. The "Kids with a Mission" program gives children the opportunity to provide for the needs of other children in our community.
Faith Bible congregation members will join New Covenant and First Evangelical Free to help work these events. For more information about the events, or how to become involved, contact any of the three churches or visit the Christmas on 84th Street web site.
