NEW COV KIDS

Sunday Morning

New Cov Kids Safety Protocol:  starting September 13th 2020
As we prepare for a full re-opening of New Cov Kids Children’s Ministry, we are looking forward to seeing many of you. Our goal is to have a safe and welcoming environment for your children in order to give them the opportunity to know Jesus and to become more like Him.

You will find helpful information about opening weekend below. Please let us know of any questions you have. We know that there is a wide range of comfort levels out there. We are hoping to communicate thoughtfulness and love with the information below. We want to do all that we can to continue coming alongside children in and around New Cov.

As of today these are the safety protocols that will be in place for our New Cov Kids Children’s Ministry rooms. These are subject to change based on Nebraska’s Directed Health Measure or our churches Directional Team. We will send any new & updated safety protocols prior to September 13th, if needed.

Registration/Check in Details:

  • Please RSVP on our church website https://newcovchurch.org/reservations to reserve space for yourself at church and for your child(ren) to attend New Cov Kids. This will help us to appropriately staff our classrooms. Please register your child(ren) for the age/grade that they are currently in.
  • We are asking EVERYONE to enter through the front (main) entrance upstairs. The doors to the New Cov Kids area down below will be locked. The only entrance will be the main entrance of the building to be able to control traffic flow.

  • Upon entering the church, you will go to the top of the stairs to get your child’s printed name tag. Please come down the stairs to enter New Cov Kids area.
  • Please designate one parent/family member to bring your child(ren) down to their classroom. We are asking one parent/guardian to pick your child up promptly after the service.

Classroom Details:

  • Each room will be throughly cleaned by our staff prior to Sunday morning service.
  • Each child will need to use hand sanitizer or wash their hands in the classroom sink upon entering their classroom.

Birth – Fifth grade

We teach the Bible and the wonderous story of how Jesus gave His life for our sins so when we ask for forgiveness and believe in Him we can be part of His story, His family.

We are honored to come along side your family in laying the spiritual foundation for your child that can carry them throughout life. We don’t just give information, facts & knowledge, but help guide children towards transformation, changing one’s attitude, obedience & love of Jesus. We want to reach children’s hearts so they’ll love God and love others. Mark 12:30-31

Meet Brandi

Brandi is the Children’s Director for birth through fifth graders. She oversees Sunday School, Wednesday night kids’ ministry and Vacation Bible School.

Wednesday Night Children Ministry: CREW

Due to complications associated with COVID-19, we are not currently offering our Wednesday night program for children.

CREW stands for Create, Relate Experience & Worship from 6:30pm-8:00pm on Wednesdays for Kindergarten through Fifth graders.

Fun and faith are intertwined in creative ways. Bible stories are told to children in a way they can understand and apply to their lives. We guide children so they can grow in the love of God’s word.

Leaders invest, listen and engage with children by meeting them where their interest are in small groups. We have a variety of different activities for children to choose from. There are fun & games, arts & crafts and drama.

Vacation Bible School

Meets one week in the summer.

This is a time to make sure we invest and invite our neighbors to join us. It is a great way children can be side by side playing, exploring, creating and learning about Jesus together. It is the highlight of many children’s summer. It builds relationships with others and God.

New Cov Parents

Through the lens of Authentic Relationships, Genuine Faith and Meaningful Impact, we want to help parents to confidently and intentionally influence their kids for Jesus and to do so together. In short, we want to help you be an AWESOME parent!
